MEET CODY:
I am a lifelong resident of Gibson County and a proud father of two, Cathryn and Ashton. A as graduate of Gibson County High School, I went on to earn my associate degree from Dyersburg State Community College in criminal justice. I am engaged to Leslie Bell Milligan of Trenton and am blessed to be an active member of First Baptist Church in Dyer.
For nearly three decades, I have dedicated my life to serving the people of this county. I currently serve as the Patrol Captain for the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office, where I’ve been honored to work for over 29 years. I have also led the Yorkville Police Department as Chief of Police for the past 20 years. In addition to my law enforcement roles, I am completing my fourth term as an elected County Commissioner, representing District 19. Public service has always been important to me my entire adult life.
In addition to public service, I raise Brahman cattle on the same land west of Trenton that has been in my family for over 115 years.
I’m running for Sheriff because I believe in protecting our communities with integrity, experience, and a heart for the people. I want to build on the values that make Gibson County strong.
